Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Electrician Certification
Reports to: Director of Operations
Job Summary:
Maintaining the Markham facility as well as performing maintenance on all several different pieces of equipment along with facility maintenance. This person must maintain our vacuum pumps, sanding machines, CNC carvers and other common. The Maintenance Technician will own mechanical and electrical repairs and upgrades. Certification must be 309A or 442A. Preferred scissor lift and power walkie license. The successful candidate will be resourceful and and have an uptime mindset.

Solely responsible for making sure all equipment is in working order to ensure production will not be disrupted.
- Manages a preventative maintenance plan including preventative maintenance checks on production and related equipment and reports any potential problems to Management.
- Maintains a spare parts inventory of critical replacement components.
- Purchase all replacement parts and supplies needed to maintain production and related equipment.
- Install new equipment in accordance with site requirements and manufacturers' specifications.
- Responsible to ensure all safety procedures are being followed (fire codes, emergency evacuation procedure, building security, all machinery within the building).
- General building maintenance and preventative maintenance, as required, including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, gas, HVAC and painting.
- Office maintenance, as required. (ie. Hanging pictures, fixing desks, etc.)
- Moving furniture and equipment within the building or into the building, as required.
- Upkeep of the entire building to ensure all areas are clean and free of debris.
- Perform general labor to support operation requirements as needed.
o Welding/Fabrication preferred but not required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of demonstrated success in a maintenance role, within a manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of hand and power tools and the skill and ability to use them daily in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
- Organize, Maintain and secure work area and tools.
- Turn off and follow proper lock out procedures for equipment when not in use.
- Ability to fabricate parts and miscellaneous items, from metal or wood from sketches, drawings or original part.
- Be an active member of the Health & Safety Committee.
