JOB TITLE: MECHANIC
Reports to: Terminal Manager & Operations Manager
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Be able to work outside and in all sorts of weather conditions
- Perform, scheduled inspection, preventive maintenance, running repairs
- Diagnose, troubleshoot & repair of all trucks and trailers.
- Actively maintain the parts inventory & shop supplies levels.
- Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
- Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
- Monitor and order inventory when necessary
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
- Perform vehicle assessments and alert dispatchers and maintenance coordinator on any issues.
- Rewire lights, reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technician license preferred (310T)
- Experience required with truck and trailers
- Must have dependable transportation
- Possess excellent communication and computer skills
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently where required
- Knowledge of basic hand & power tools
- Maintain a safe clean work area, follow all government & company Safety & Environmental requirements and policies and procedures.
- Van fleet experience would be considered an asset.

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
