We are currently looking for an Auto Glass Helper / Trainee to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning a skilled trade and building a career in the glass industry. No previous auto glass experience is required — we are willing to train the right person. Experience is considered an asset.
The Auto Glass Helper will assist experienced technicians with the repair and replacement of automotive glass, including windshields, door glass, back glass, sunroofs, panoramic glass roofs, and glass in heavy trucks and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with the removal and installation of automotive glass
- Help prepare vehicles and work areas before and after each job
- Perform pre-work inspections
- Use and maintain all required safety equipment and PPE
- Learn how to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
- Follow Crystal Glass procedures and safety standards
- Provide support to technicians and other team members as needed
Qualifications
- No experience required; we will train
- Previous auto glass, automotive, construction, or general labour experience is considered an asset
- Must be willing to learn and take direction
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others
- Physical fitness is considered an asset, as the job may require lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license required
- 3-year driver’s abstract preferred
