Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment for children of varying abilities
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and interaction
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to meet individual learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, communication, and educational resources management
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating strong time management skills
- Lead activities that promote language development in both English and French (if bilingual)
- Adapt teaching strategies for children with special needs or disabilities
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Bilingual proficiency in English; French language skills are a plus
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation
- Ability to demonstrate leadership in guiding children's behavior and facilitating learning
- Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping and educational tools
- Classroom experience that showcases creativity, patience, and adaptability
- Effective time management skills to balance lesson planning and daily responsibilities
- Writing skills for documenting progress reports and communicating with families
