Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing sales and merchandising strategies, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment, driving sales performance, and ensuring store standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and professional growth
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and time management to optimize staffing levels
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping with accuracy
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide training & development opportunities
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Resolve customer complaints effectively while maintaining positive relationships
- Manage store budgets and oversee administrative tasks related to store management
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in retail or related fields with strong team management skills
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing, and sales management
- Ability to recruit, interview, and train staff; leadership qualities essential for motivating teams
- Knowledge of budgeting, payroll processing, purchasing, and inventory control
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Administrative experience including record keeping and organizational skills is preferred
