Job Description
The Paris Child Care Board of Directors comprises leaders from the nonprofit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s mission and vison statements.

Serving on the Paris Child Care Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about strengthening leadership and governance in the nonprofit child care sector.
Board members are expected to attend up to 4 board meetings per year, participate in one subcommittee, and contribute to regular email correspondence.
Board members provide executive oversight and ensure strong leadership at all levels of Paris Child Care.
Board members are responsible for ensuring the organization’s adherence to legal and ethical regulations and standards.
Board members support Paris Child Care’s fundraising efforts through cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
Board members are expected to have the financial acumen to read and understand Paris Child Care financial statements and to otherwise help ensure the fiscal health and sustainability of the organization.
Board members are expected to align with Paris Child Care diversity equity and inclusion policies.
Board members are expected to responsibly represent Paris Child Care within their community and to advocate for its mission, vision, programs, and services as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles
- Strong understanding of corporate governance financial management and strategic planning
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
- Exemplary communication, decision-making, and problem solving skills
- Individuals applying with experience in business planning, urban planning, financial management, pediatric mental health, special education, early childhood education, and public health will be given priority
- Prior experience on a board of directors is considered an asset, but is not required
