Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience through efficient service and excellent communication skills. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within our hospitality team.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide guest services that exceed expectations, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and payment processing
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or related hospitality roles preferred
- Ability to handle food safely and assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food industry standards is a plus
