We are looking for a hands-on Working Site Foreman/ Site super to help manage and complete day-to-day work on residential new construction and small multi-family projects in Ottawa.
This is not a desk-only superintendent role and not a basic handyman role. The right person can lead small site tasks, coordinate trades, identify deficiencies, complete repairs themselves, and help push buildings from construction through inspection, occupancy, and turnover.
You must be willing and able to work with tools daily.
What you'll do
- Support active residential new construction projects, small multi-family builds, and occasional renovation work
- Help push units and buildings through deficiencies, inspections, occupancy, turnover, and tenant move-in
- Walk units and common areas to identify deficiencies, incomplete work, repairs, and site issues
- Complete hands-on repairs and construction tasks, including small framing, backing, blocking, bulkheads, and site modifications
- Complete drywall repairs, patching, minor mudding, sanding, and finishing touch-ups
- Handle small repairs, door adjustments, trim touch-ups, caulking, hardware, minor flooring fixes, paint touch-ups, and general deficiency work
- Assist with punch-list completion, site cleanup, detailing, protection, and final presentation
- Coordinate with trades, site staff, suppliers, and project management to solve day-to-day construction issues
- Help keep job sites organized, safe, clean, and moving forward
- Perform occasional exterior work, manual work, material handling, or other site support tasks as required
- Travel between Ottawa job sites as needed
- Document completed work using photos, notes, checklists, or site software when required
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of real hands-on residential construction experience required
- Strong practical ability in finishing, rough carpentry, drywall repair, small framing, deficiencies, and general construction repairs
- Experience working on new homes, apartments, townhomes, infill projects, or small multi-family construction
- Able to work independently, identify problems, and figure out practical fixes without constant supervision
- Comfortable taking ownership of site issues and following through until they are completed properly
- Good eye for detail and pride in clean, professional finished work
- Comfortable working around active job sites, trades, inspections, schedules, and deadlines
- Able to communicate clearly with trades, site staff, and management
- Physically capable of manual construction work
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle strongly preferred
- Own basic tools strongly preferred
- Good attitude, reliable attendance, and strong follow-through
Ideal background

- A short summary of your experience
- The types of work you are strongest at
- Your hourly wage expectation
