Dyment’s Glen Drummond Farm is looking for experienced, passionate kitchen staff to join our prep team.
Our Country Market has a selection of products that we make in house that we are looking for support with. This includes smoked & fresh meats such a steaks burgers, brisket, pulled pork, marinated chicken and pork chops. We also have prepped dinner foods such as meat pies, pastas, soups, sauces and more
The Role
We are seeking a Prep Cook. The cook will report to the farm’s Chef de Cuisine and will be provided with full training and continued support from the team.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is open minded, flexible, easily trained, and works well with others under pressure. Must be able to provide direction to other staff at the farm when needed. Finally, they must be willing to receive feedback and be excited about creating a great culinary experience.
Responsibilities
- Chopping vegetables, cutting meats, measuring ingredients
- Preparing sauces or simple dishes
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas
- Stocking and rotating ingredients (FIFO method)
Requirements
- Team player attitude
- Willingness to learn from chefs
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions closely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be willing to stand for long hours.
Please note that we are located 20+ minutes from the closest bus route. Commuting by car is highly recommended.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
