Overview
We are seeking an experienced safety-minded Part-time Heavy Equipment Operator & Loader/Excavator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading materials, managing stockpiles, and operating heavy machinery in a fast-paced enviroment.
The ideal candidate has a hands-on proficiency with large front-end loaders and excavators, a strong commitment to worksite safety, and the ability to work indipendently. The candidate must also have reliable transportation and be able to work and move between different locations in Cambridge and Breslau.
Schedule & Compensation
This position offers a consistent, part-time schedule consisting of three full-day shifts per week.
- Weekly hours: Approximately 25 hours per week
- Days: 3 days per week (flexible days per week available)
- Status : Part-time/hourly
- Compensation: $30.00/hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely and skillfully operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders with 3-yard and 5-yard buckets, and 20-ton excavator.
- Material Loading & handling: Load commercial trucks, delivery vehicles, and customer vehicles accuratley and efficiently while minimizing material degradation.
- Stockpile Management: Maintain organized, clean, and safe material stockpiles and yard layout.
- Daily Maintenance: Perform mandatory pre-operational equipment inspections, report mechanical issues immediately, and perform basic daily maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, cleaning cabs)
- Site Safety: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining high situational awareness of groundworkers, trucks and hazards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven Experience: Must have direct, demonstrable experience operating front-end loaders (3-yard and 5-yard capacity) and large excavators (20-ton class)
- Spacial Awareness: Excellent depth perception and precision handling skills for loading high-sided commercial trailers and working in tight spaces.
- Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and maintiain production speeds without compromising safety or material accuracy.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and comfortably climb in and out of heavy machinery throughout a full-day shift.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, puntuality, and accountacbility for the specific 3-day schedule.
