Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and quality standards, focusing on meat cutting and food presentation
- Handle food products safely, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Perform butchery tasks, including trimming, portioning, and packaging meats with precision and care
- Assist in food packaging to ensure freshness and proper labeling for retail or wholesale purposes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sterilization and waste disposal
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support the team in inventory management, including stock rotation and order replenishment to prevent shortages
Experience
- Previous experience working in the food industry or a kitchen environment is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, especially in butchery or meat cutting roles
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is essential
- Familiarity with packaging techniques for perishable goods is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates attention to detail, cleanliness, and efficiency is desirable
