Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Truss Builder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling, constructing, and inspecting trusses used in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments, with experience operating heavy equipment and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.
Duties
- Assemble truss components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to ensure structural integrity and adherence to specifications
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently during the assembly process
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately construct trusses
- Use machining and fabrication tools to modify parts as needed for proper fit and function
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring safety protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse settings preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery such as forklifts, power tools, and hand tools
- Skills in machining, welding, assembly, and use of hand and power tools required
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and safety procedures necessary for warehouse or construction environments
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with welding or fabrication is a plus but not mandatory
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
