Neegan Technical Services is currently seeking a motivated and safety-focused Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily laboratory operations while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all safety procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety by following all Safe Work Practices and Safe Work Procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while performing tasks
- Analyze samples accurately, safely, and within required timelines
- Ensure all laboratory data is entered correctly and efficiently
- Organize and pre-weigh appropriate sample bottles prior to scheduled sample run times
- Complete and sign daily FLRA’s with team members
- Identify and report hazardous conditions, incidents, and near misses to supervisors
- Lift and carry materials weighing in excess of 20 lbs
- Perform additional duties as required
- Valid CSTS and OSSA or BSO certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred; College Certificate or Diploma in Science or related field considered an asset
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Ability to work shift schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team setting
