We are currently looking for a Sales Representative to increase sales as well as provide exceptional customer service to Independent customers in Southern Alberta, South West Saskatchewan, and South Eastern British Columbia.

This position allows for the successful candidate to work from home and will ideally be based in Lethbridge, Cranbrook, or in the Okanagan as there will be a significant travel component around the region.

Job Description
Grow the Business

Responsible for new customer development and providing counsel visits to stores ensuring that we maintain and grow sales and profits while achieving weekly sales and revenue objectives
Provide regular sales visits to stores
Responsible for increasing sales and profitability as per budget
Present new potential customers an overall sales program including all services and pricing
Inform management on competitive activity and market changes

Own the Customer Experience

Provide exceptional customer service to meet customer needs and ensuring continued customer loyalty
Provide sales counseling to customers and national accounts
Responsible to present service, sales programs and special products to customers
Provide overall merchandising and operations assistance for store set up
Responsible to keep accounts receivables within our credit terms
Develop Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Sales


Job Requirements

The Successful Candidate will be able to:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet objectives
Ability to communicate well, both oral and written
Proven ability to develop and maintain customer base and display excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively problem solve
Ability to work well independently and highly self-motivated

Experience Required:
University degree in business or related education
2-3 years experience at the wholesale and retail levels within the Grocery industry
Operation, perishable and retail store knowledge
Financial background
Sales experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of SAP preferred
Travel 100%
