About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Primary Responsibilities:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 education preferred.
- 3 years’ underground experience would be preferrable.
- Accreditation in applicable U/G common core modules.
- Good understanding of pumping system including pumps and sump set ups.
- Strong Safety focus.
- Self-motivated ability to work alone.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:
- 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
- a travel allowance is provided and varies based on distance from the mine site in Dubreuilville, Ontario
- Meals and accommodation provided while working at site
- Must be able to lift 25lbs

- Exposure to underground conditions including noise, dust, heat, and confined spaces
Hourly Compensation range: $39.84 to $41.50
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
