Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children to support their behavioral and developmental needs, implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives through evidence-based practices and personalized care.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each child's needs, utilizing techniques such as positive reinforcement and data collection.
- Assist children with daily activities, promoting independence and social skills in various settings.
- Collect and record data on behavior progress, ensuring accurate documentation for ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Support children during therapy sessions, providing one-on-one assistance as directed by supervising clinicians.
- Administer medication or assist with medication administration following proper protocols and training.
- Collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and progress tracking.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment conducive to learning and development.
Skills
- Experience working with children, especially in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral intervention techniques.
- Ability to administer medication safely following established procedures.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward children with diverse needs.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and therapy.
- Proficiency in data collection methods to monitor progress and inform treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and families.
