Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Mathematics Tutor for grades 1-9 to inspire students and help them unlock their full potential in math. In this role, you will provide tutoring sessions that foster confidence, improve understanding, and develop problem-solving skills. Your enthusiasm for teaching and strong math background will motivate learners of diverse ages and skill levels to excel academically and build a solid foundation for future success.
Duties
- Deliver engaging small group tutoring sessions focused on various math topics
- Assess students’ current understanding and tailor lessons to meet their individual needs and learning styles
- Use effective teaching methods to clarify complex concepts and make math accessible and enjoyable
- Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons to accommodate different learning requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children or students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of math subjects at various levels, including advanced topics if applicable
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience demonstrating the ability to motivate learners and explain concepts clearly
- Classroom experience or familiarity with educational environments is a plus
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
