About the Role
We are seeking a Service Supervisor to lead, develop, and empower our team of skilled appliance technicians. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role focused on field performance, service quality, and technician growth.
The Service Supervisor ensures our technicians are equipped, supported, and motivated to deliver an exceptional customer experience on every visit - through coaching, preparation, and accountability.
This role bridges technical expertise with people leadership, providing the guidance, structure, and communication needed to keep our service department performing at its best.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support the field technician team in daily operations.
- Conduct occasional field ride-alongs to observe, coach, and ensure quality workmanship.
- Pre-screen upcoming service calls to confirm accuracy, readiness, and parts availability before dispatch.
- Ensure technicians’ vehicles, tools, and supplies are stocked and prepared for upcoming jobs.
- Call and resolve client complaints or escalated service issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (first-time fix rate, completion time, recalls, and customer satisfaction).
- Provide detailed performance feedback and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
- Reinforce safety standards, company policies, and brand expectations in the field.
- Participate in training and onboarding of new technicians to align them with Kampen’s service philosophy.
- Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field service trade.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience - capable of leading by example.
- Strong diagnostic, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team with fairness and consistency.
- Professional presence and customer-first attitude when handling escalations.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean driving record.
