Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient experienced Barista/Cashier/Server to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, preparing quality food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in food service or barista roles is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in customer service, food handling, and cash management.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, bubble teas, and other drinks with attention to quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Take customer orders accurately both at the counter and via digital platforms.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Serve food items in a courteous manner, including taking orders, delivering meals, and assisting with table needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food items.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff.
- Provide friendly customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in serving or cashiering roles demonstrates excellent multitasking capabilities and professionalism in guest interactions.
