Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high-quality food service for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, excellent food handling skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety regulations and sanitation procedures at all times
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques across various cuisines
- Excellent understanding of serving protocols and customer service principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners with a passion for food industry work
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene practices
