Do you have a passion for fine food and enjoy guest interaction? Spend your summer as a Restaurant Server at FATHOM Restaurant in the Hotel Grand Pacific! A proud member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection, our hotel is located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen Peoples. FATHOM offers a unique, seafood-forward yet well-rounded menu tailored to please all those who choose to explore its depths. Our diners have high expectations and we’re looking for two (2) hospitality professionals to provide first-class service. This is a temporary position starting on April 1st and ending September 30th, 2026.
We have the following shifts available:
- Part time shift: Morning, evening, and weekend 15-29 hours per week
Pay: $18.40/hr + tips
Description of Duties:
- Provide a welcoming, first-class experience for our guests
- Advise guests on our menu and use suggestive selling
- Take orders in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Read guests and accommodate requests where possible
- Maintain immaculate presentation and cleanliness at all times
What we’re looking for:
- Post-secondary training in hospitality management
- Some serving experience an asset
- Food Safe and Serving It Right certificates are required
- Professional and personable with clear verbal communication skills
- Great team player with a high level of initiative
- Proven multi-tasking skills
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
