Fossil Landscapes is a boutique landscape design and construction company based in Etobicoke. We build custom residential landscapes from start to finish, working on projects of all sizes throughout Toronto and the surrounding area.
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Carpenter to join our construction team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, pays attention to detail, and enjoys building high-quality outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Build decks, fences, privacy screens, pergolas, gates, stairs, planter boxes and other custom landscape carpentry
- Complete both rough and finish carpentry for residential landscape projects
- Read and work from landscape plans, drawings and measurements
- Layout, measure, cut and install materials accurately
- Work with wood, composite materials and other exterior building products
- Assist with concrete forming and other landscape construction when required
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment
- Work closely with the foreman and other crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site
- Produce high-quality finished work that meets Fossil Landscapes' standards
Qualifications
- Previous carpentry, landscape construction or general construction experience
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials and building techniques
- Experience building decks, fences and other exterior structures is an asset
- Ability to read plans and understand measurements and elevations
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical work
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Full Valid driver's licence is required
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
