Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Local Truck Driver to join our team in MoncTon. This role is vital in ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across the region, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight within the local area efficiently and safely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation.
- Assist with heavy equipment operation when required.
- Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation.
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude.
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks as needed.
