Production Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Production Coordinator provides departmental administrative support to ensure timely report preparation, comprehensive record keeping and smooth flow of work within or between departments. This role is aligned with Raw Materials and Production Planning and requires very careful attention to detail accuracy and data integrity. Concise monitoring and advisement of status are considered essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Communicates daily to contractors and all department concerned to address and resolve issues from pre-production up to post shipments
Execute and Process MPO (Master Production Order) in D365 – Release, check Material Availability, Start, Report as Finished.
Receive Finished Goods into D365, help resolve issues if possible
Coordinate with Inventory Department, Procurement and QA for MPO that can’t be started due to missing material.
Execute and coordinate with Inventory Control team regarding the MPO reservation process for scheduled system inventory sweeps
Verifies material consumptions with PD/PE and track movement of RMs
Prepares weekly Status Report for each CMT
Follow-up closely with assigned Contractor the WIP status to ensure on-time delivery of MPO
Attend weekly CMT status meeting to discuss status of each MPO.
Coordinate with Cutting Supervisor for cut-goods required by Contractor
Coordinate with Down Room Supervisor for down fill required by Contractor
Follow-up and coordinate with Supply Chain and/or Logistics the availability of materials
Coordinate with Logistics the preparation and issuance of Raw Materials for contractors
Issues Raw Material Request for additional requirements due to changes in BOM or other causes such as items missing, defective, or damaged during production
Issues Raw Material request, check Manual and material available for Contractor’s Pre-production sample requirements
Responds to Contractors on Finished Goods/packing slips issues
Coordinate and follow-up with IE issues related to CMT prices not in the system
Coordinates with Finance for cost roll-up issues
Other departmental tasks as required

Experience, Education and Designations:
2 years of experience supporting a production department in an administrative capacity
Degree in Industrial Engineering or Textile Manufacturing or related course

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Excellent MS Office skills
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software experience
Excellent written and verbal English skills (other languages an asset)
Highly detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges
Excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to evaluate options and generate solutions
Confident, articulate, organized, detail oriented, goal oriented, self-motivated and hard working
