SJGHEL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Care (DOC) to join the Manor leadership team. Reporting to the Manager, Long-Term Care and Spiritual Care, this key leadership role plays a vital part in creating a welcoming, safe, and homelike environment for residents. The Director of Care provides clinical and operational leadership to the Resident Care team, ensuring high-quality, resident-centred care that is compliant with legislation, organizational policies and meets Accreditation Canada standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who is passionate about excellence in long-term care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of four (4) year bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university and a current registration and good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario. The successful candidate will also have three years’ of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting. Advanced certification or training in long-term care management, gerontology, or leadership is an asset.
