Accuenergy is a Toronto-based company dedicated to research, design and manufacturing of multifunction power meters and other instruments. We also provide advanced technological solutions for distribution and industrial power system automation.
Responsibilities
- · Conduct accurate and precise tests of measuring instruments including current transformers (solid, split, and flexible CT) and electricity metering equipment under team lead supervision.
· Create and develop tests for new product categories according to relevant standards / update tests based on new product features
· Provide test results, write test reports, and operate test equipment.
· Interpretation of test results and Root Cause Failure Analysis
· Conduct test plans provided by the team lead according to customers' specifications and the latest revisions of applicable international standards
· Participate in prototyping and testing in collaboration with other team members
· Analyze measurement uncertainties and inaccuracies for electrical measurements, and provide calibration and testing reports ensuring compliance with relevant standards
· Participate in results review and problem-solving to tackle type test issues.
Requirements
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge in type testing of electric and electronic products
- Good knowledge of Electromagnetics
- Good knowledge and experience with test processes such as Electrical, Accuracy, Thermal, Climatic, Mechanical, EMC, etc.
- Good knowledge of IEC and ANSI standards relevant to instrument transformers and electricity metering equipment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics) is required, higher degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering would be an asset
- 3-5 years of working experience in engineering/research or in a relevant field, would be an asset
