Part-Time Server – Sauters Inn Restaurant
Sauters Inn Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant in Ajax, Ontario, serving traditional German and Hungarian cuisine in a casual, cozy atmosphere. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Part-Time Server to join our team!
Location: 109 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON
Pay: $17.60/hour + tips
Position: Part-Time
Availability: Days, evenings, weekends & holidays
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1+ year of serving experience
- Valid Smart Serve certification required
- Previous experience using a POS system
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities
- Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and carry heavy trays during long shifts
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to assist with general restaurant cleaning and bathroom cleaning/maintenance
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and attentive service to guests
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Enter orders into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages efficiently
- Answer guest questions about menu items
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Clear and reset tables
- Process guest bills and payments
- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle customer concerns professionally and help resolve issues when they arise
- Complete general cleaning duties throughout the restaurant
- Clean and maintain customer and staff bathrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring they remain clean and presentable
- Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and closing duties as required
