We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a professional team in a dynamic environment, utilizing mechanical skills and excellent communication abilities.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status
- Assist with moving freight within warehouses or loading docks as required
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation
- Perform basic mechanical checks and report any vehicle issues promptly
- Ensure proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit.
- Most of the deliveries within Calgary, once a while drive outside of the city.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation
- Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients
- Experience in moving freight safely and efficiently within warehouse or dock environments
- Valid commercial driver’s license 3 (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in freight transportation
This position is vital for maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics services, requiring dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
