We encourage young people to: play an active role in shaping their future, graduate from high school and pursue their dreams. Students living in Pointe-Saint-Charles have free access to a wide range of services: personalized individual support, tutoring, mentoring and financial support.

Our challenges :
- Accompany, support and encourage young people to succeed.
- In collaboration with the site manager, create an inclusive learning environment for all youth and volunteers.
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow up with students and others involved in the program.
- Collaborate in the implementation of a volunteer and student recognition system.
- Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures governing the protection of children and vulnerable persons.
- Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy within your position and the Association, and participate in fundraising activities and events.

The person we're looking for should:
- Have, or be currently studying for, a degree in education or a related field.
- Have one or two years' experience in animation, tutoring, mentoring, youth work or related work experience with young people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Awareness of the challenges facing today's youth and single- and low-income communities.
- Knowledge of Quebec's secondary and post-secondary education systems.
- Excellent oral and written skills in French and English.
- Willingness and availability to work at least two evenings a week.
- Have no legal restrictions related to the job.
