The Georgian Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic (GNPLC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization providing team-based, interdisciplinary primary care and a range of health services to patients across the greater Barrie and Innisfil area. Through our collaborative model of care, we work together to ensure patients have access to comprehensive, coordinated, and person-centred services that support both individual well-being and community health. Governed under the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA), GNPLC is committed to excellence in patient care and to strengthening the health of the communities we serve.
The focus of the board is to provide direction to and work collaboratively with the Executive Team through a governance lens, support the Vision, Mission and Values of the organization, setting strategy and provide oversight of its fiduciary duties. The GNPLC board consists of local clinical and community leaders representing a broad range of skill sets.
The Board of Directors is inviting expressions of interest to serve our patient community and advance our strategic priorities. Candidates nominated for consideration will be elected at our AGM in June. While applicants of skills and experiences are encouraged to apply, individuals with any of the following backgrounds/skill sets are of particular interest:
· Nurse Practitioner actively licensed with the CNO
· Patient or family caregiver
· Healthcare Leadership
· Human Resources
· Legal expertise
· Digital Health/IT expertise
The successful incumbents will be expected to attend 6 board meetings annually as well as sit on one of the board committees which typically meet quarterly. Board directors should expect up to a three year commitment with the possibility of renewal.
