Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various art techniques, media, and styles.
- Utilize LMS platforms for lesson delivery, assessments, and student progress tracking.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and respect.
- Assess student work regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art projects with other subject areas such as math and writing.
- Organize exhibitions or showcases to display student artwork and celebrate achievements.
- Maintain classroom supplies and ensure a safe, organized learning space.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and upcoming projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including early childhood education.
- Prior classroom experience in an educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and experience developing engaging lesson plans.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms for online instruction and assessment.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to incorporate tutoring strategies to support individual student needs.
- Skills in teaching core subjects such as math and writing through artistic methods are advantageous.
- Passion for fostering creativity and supporting diverse learning styles.
