Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by developing and executing strategies that enhance client relationships, expand the client base, and improve overall market presence. This role demands a dynamic individual with experience in construction industry sales, marketing, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends in concrete forming, building restoration, waterproofing, roofing, mobile crane services and any other new sectors of Sibwest Group of Companies.
- Analyze market data, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of market changes.
Business Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement effective business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify and prioritize target clients, industries, and geographical areas for business expansion.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, architects, developers, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional satisfaction.
Proposal Development and Presentation:
- Prepare compelling and tailored proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials to showcase the company’s capabilities and win new business.
- Present proposals to clients, addressing their requirements and concerns effectively.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while adhering to company policies and legal standards.
Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to establish and enhance the company’s presence in all business-related sectors.
- Actively participate in relevant industry associations and forums to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
Marketing:
- Manage all social media accounts, websites, trademarks, logos, and all promotional and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent experience in the construction industry is expected.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations, preferably within the construction or concrete industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the construction market in Ontario, including client needs and competitive dynamics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
