Laurel Steel, a division of Nucor, is seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician (442A) to join our Maintenance Team in Burlington, Ontario.

Compensation & Earnings
- Year 1 Earnings: $95,000+
- Year 2 Earnings: $100,000+
- Overtime opportunities available
- Annual Nucor Profit Sharing Program
- Shift premiums:
- Afternoons: +$0.60/hour
- Nights: +$1.00/hour
- Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x
- Sunday overtime paid at 2x
Schedule
Rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday)
- Days: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Afternoons: 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Nights: 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
No scheduled weekend rotation.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and production equipment
- Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and automation systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Support overhead cranes, forklifts, and production equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Complete work orders, labour entries, and parts tracking in the CMMS system
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification
- Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for rotating shifts and overtime
Working Environment
This position is located in a heavy industrial manufacturing facility and involves exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
