We are currently searching for a Finance Manager who will report directly to the Regional Controller, based at the office in Mississauga, Ontario.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinate and perform various month-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports and financial statements. Review and work with divisions on their results.
- Prepare, review, and present the monthly forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile the month-end balance sheet. Review, analyze, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Gather data and prepare tax returns.
- Prepare labor, job costing, and other reports as requested.
- Support initiatives related to financial reporting and processing systems improvements.
- Assist with annual financial audit with external auditors.
- Additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of analysis or accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Possess a clear understanding of union payroll processes, payables, receivables, job cost billing, banking, and WIP reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work varied and additional hours during closing and budgeting periods.
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and strong time management and organizational skills.
- Preferred background in project-based accounting within the construction or manufacturing sector.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and its integration with IT systems.
