Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Infant and Toddler Staff to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones and fostering a love of learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support diverse families. Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Document children's progress and behaviors through written reports and observations
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities and improve classroom practices
- Adhere to all safety protocols, health guidelines, and licensing requirements
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
Qualifications
- Valid Certification of IT, Valid First Aid and CPR (Child Care), Criminal Record Check Clearance
- 2 years of experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stage
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written—are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and time management skills
- Computer literacy including basic operation of computers for documentation and communication purposes
- Certification or training in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
