Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an exceptional dining experience. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and advance within the restaurant industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining area, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Excellent time management to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
