Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Head Cook/Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Head Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring an efficient workflow in the kitchen.
We are seeking someone able to work Wednesday to Saturday afternoons, from 2 pm to 10pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Lead other kitchen staff.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation for service.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation within the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality meal preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
