Sous Chef – Full Time

Prequel & Co. Apothecary is seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. We are a modern cocktail-focused concept dedicated to creativity, precision, and delivering exceptional guest experiences through both food and beverage.
This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Support the Kitchen Manager and Regional Chef in daily operations
- Lead and supervise kitchen service while maintaining quality standards
- Train, coach, and develop kitchen team members
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to recipe specifications
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health compliance standards
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Support menu development, testing, and implementation
- Help create efficient prep systems and service execution
- Foster a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and food cost management
- Ability to remain calm and focused during high-volume service
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Food Handler Certification preferred
