Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the Clerk is an integral part of the Senior Management Team. The Clerk provides expertise and leadership in carrying out clerk functions to provide quality service to Council, the administration and the public. By his position, the Clerk is responsible for the Town's legal affairs.
Requirements

University Diploma specialized in law (an asset) or a related course of study plus CMO designation (an asset)

A minimum of five (5) years of experience preferably in a similar role in the municipal sector

Thorough knowledge of statutory requirements of the Municipal Act and other relevant legislation

Excellent interpersonal and proven teamwork and management skills in a unionized environment

Proficient in computer skill (Microsoft Suite) including any other related municipal software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English

Superior organizational and analytical skills
Remuneration
This permanent full-time position (35 hours/week) has a salary range from $85,173 to $103,630 annually.
