We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team at the new TIME OUT MARKET . The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing meals according to recipes and standards, ensuring timely service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Plate dishes attractively and efficiently for service
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients or supplies
- Adhere to all food safety protocols to prevent contamination or spoilage
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Strong skills in meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Prior experience with serving customers is a plus but not required
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
