Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off, on-site
Overview
We are looking for Maintenance Schedulers to support mining operations on a 14/14, on-site rotation. Depending on your experience, you could be in one or the other of these areas:
- Underground Maintenance — CAT, Sandvik, and Maclean fleets (haul trucks, jumbos, scoops, and bolters)
- Open Pit Maintenance — CAT hydraulic shovels (up to 6030 size), 777 and 785 haul trucks, and Epiroc drills (DM45 and DML)
- LHT Shop — Kenworth C500 trucks pulling ore trailers (main and pups), CAT graders (16 and 14), CAT loaders (988 and others), and pickup trucks
Your Contribution
Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Planning & Reliability Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting the company values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Actively participate in daily control meetings to be informed of operational changes, breakdowns, and found work. Adjust the 4-week schedule to accommodate the mine plan requirements and available labour.
- Review the breakdown backlog with the execution team and schedule break-in and corrective work accordingly.
- Lead the weekly maintenance scheduling meeting. Revise the schedules based on feedback from invested stakeholders. Requisition and adjust all trade power based on this feedback.
- Review and verify all trades, parts, services, and support equipment required for approved planned work using JDE and ensure their availability prior to the work being scheduled. Note any deficiencies or shortcomings to the Execution and Planning teams in advance of the work being scheduled.
- Review the active week's schedule and work order statuses; confirm proper completion of work orders daily. Ensure the daily schedule reflects the real-world situation. Provide recommendations for frequently scheduled work, including re-scheduled/deferred work and re-work.
- Conduct daily worksite visits for scheduled maintenance. Support the execution team and update the work timeline to reflect the changing situation.
- Participate in pre-shutdown and overhaul work meetings to ensure all stakeholders understand work activities, and conduct after-action reviews to continually improve the work scheduling process.
- Communicate all changes to the schedule to all stakeholders consistently and accurately.
Required:
- Trade certification or equivalent professional work experience and education with maintenance work routines
- 3+ years of experience with the maintenance of mobile mining equipment (surface or underground)
