Position:
Join our team in Quinte West as a Project Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the Project Manager, Supervisor, and Forepersons across a range of construction projects. This position is ideal for an organized, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to contribute to the planning, documentation, and coordination that keep our projects running safely and efficiently. From maintaining accurate site records to assisting with scheduling, quality control, and on‑site coordination, you will be an essential part of delivering high‑quality work and ensuring project success.
Job Duties include, but not limited to:
- Maintain a record/journal of daily work site activities, safety items, visitors, inspections, including a photo/video record of job progress.
- Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, drawings, and permits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files and logs (e.g., subcontracts, purchase orders, delivery schedules).
- Prepare and submit daily time sheets for crews working on site.
- Provide technical support to Managers and Supervisors.
- Attend site meetings, record meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding action items.
- Coordinate utility locates, inspections, and other municipal or regulatory requirements.
- Work with and alongside the Project Manager and Supervisor to plan the work sequence, using specifications, drawings and site conditions for effective safety-conscious production.
- Oversee project quality control activities.
- Assist in the co-ordination of the next day requirements for labour, equipment and ensure supplies are ordered.
Complete work with attention to detail to produce a quality product:
- Ensure project cost requirements are met and coding procedures are followed.
- Liaise with onsite inspectors, owners’ representatives, and the public.
- Complete reports for production, payments and regular tracking.
- Conduct yourself in a professional/mature manner.
- Assist the field work crews when required.
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction software (e.g.,Bluebeam, MS Project) is an asset.
- Post Secondary Education (In a Related Field)
- 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in underground infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Strong organizational/analytical skills with clear oral and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work cooperatively with other staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
