Are you a dedicated, detail-oriented Licensed Optician looking to be part of a well-established, family-owned business? Discount optical has been a trusted provider of optical services for over 40 years and we are looking to hire a passionate optician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting the best eyewear options, considering style, functionality, and budget.
- Take measurements, fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses
- Perform contact lens fittings for patients
- Handle store operations in the absence of the manager
- Provide excellent customer service and build lasting relationships with clients.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest optical trends and product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Optician under the College of Ontario
- Strong knowledge of eyewear products and lens options.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse clientele.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for providing the best customer care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Portuguese as a second language is a plus, but not required.
