We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and custodial work, demonstrating strong time management and communication skills. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic environment for staff, clients, and visitors, contributing to the overall professionalism and operational efficiency of our organization.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas of the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and cleaning equipment to thoroughly clean and maintain floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Conduct facilities maintenance as needed, addressing minor repairs or reporting issues to management.
- Operate custodial equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners
- Manage heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning or maintenance.
- Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Wash cloths as needed on a biweekly - monthly basis
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to any cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors.
Qualifications
- Must have their G license and access to a vehicle
- Must be willing to transport supplies to each job
- Must have valid SIN Card
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance and the use of hand tools and power tools is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and facility users.
- Demonstrated reliability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
