About Us:
Chilliwack Learning Centre is a licensed child care program dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. We offer programs for children ages 3–5, as well as Out of School Care for kindergarten to school-aged children.
We are currently looking for an On-Call Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) to join our team. This role provides coverage for staff absences, vacations, and professional development days, with the opportunity for more consistent hours as enrolment grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through play and guided activities.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide support in the Out of School Care program, including drop-off and pick-up of children from nearby schools (walking or by centre vehicle, depending on location).
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Follow all licensing and centre health and safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid ECEA Certificate (through BC ECE Registry).
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required.
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours (Monday–Friday).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
