We are seeking a reliable and hardworking skilled labourer to support carpenters on residential and commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with site preparation, material handling, tool operation, cleanup, and basic carpentry tasks while following all workplace safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with construction and renovation work.
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the supervision of a carpenter.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Assemble and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, ramps, and barricades when required.
- Clean and prepare work areas before, during, and after construction activities.
- Remove debris and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Follow construction drawings and instructions provided by supervisors.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Observe all health and safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg) or more.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
