Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting freight and goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a focus on safety, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight to various locations
- Load and unload freight using equipment as needed
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Assist in warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management
Requirements
- Valid License, Class 5 with Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 3 with Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1 with Air Brakes Endorsement
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is an asset
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate light and heavy vehicles, including trucks used for freight transportation
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for vehicle maintenance needs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow routes efficiently
- Physical ability to lift, move, or handle freight as required
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous
