Junior Climbing Arborist

Position Overview
The Junior Climbing Arborist is responsible for carrying out duties assigned by the Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Leader or designated supervisor in a safe and efficient manner, including but not limited to:
· Preparing necessary equipment for the workday
· Ensuring work is conducted safely
· Pruning and removing small to medium sized trees
Qualifications
· Full or partial completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience
o ISA Certification or MTCU Qualification an asset
· G driver’s license with a clean abstract (DZ license an asset)
· Minimum 1 year climbing experience in arboriculture
· Proficient in rigging techniques
· Tree and shrub identification
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Driven and self-directed when completing tasks

Job Types: Seasonal, Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
