Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, and possess experience working with low voltage systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise and precision, excellent oral and written skills.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in industrial settings.
- Fabrication for machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
- Work with low voltage systems, including control wiring and communication lines.
- Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work and construction sites.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of electrical installations and repairs.
- Manage the end-to-end documentation process, maintaining detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Source and requisition materials and parts as needed.
- Communicate appropriately with Supervisors and Co-Workers (both verbal and written reports).
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and highly organized work area to promote a safe, efficient, and professional maintenance environment.
- Champion a "Safety First" culture by operating in strict accordance with all General Job Instructions and safety protocols.
- Perform additional technical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with industrial electrician background.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment.
- Experience working with low voltage systems and control wiring.
- Background in construction environments is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and efficiently.
- Relevant electrical experience with a focus on safety standards and regulations.
- Certification or licensing as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship, safety compliance, and continuous learning within the electrical trade.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
