Reporting to the Unity Food Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales and expenses.
Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety and food handling standards, inventory control, rotation, ordering, and the delivery of excellent customer service.
Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with Delta Co-op policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
Provide leadership in the areas of health and safety. Assist in identifying unhealthy or unsafe situations and ensure corrective action is taken.
Schedule department staff to meet production and customer service needs in an efficient manner.
Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints, supply shortages, and staffing issues.
Perform inventory counts.
Prepare food and provide Bakery/Deli Department production duties.
